| Scandinavian Mideast To: email@netanyahu.org Robert Bosignor 12 May 2002 Denmark's poltical scientist Professor Peter Hansen heads the social and welfare UNRWA Palestinian refugee camps located in Syria, Gaza, Jordan, the West Bank, and Gaza where he maintains his local headquarters. UNRWA posts 3.9 million registered Palestinians in its camps supervised by 22,000 employees, mainly Palestinians. Social scientist(University Oslo/Bergen) Terje Roed-Larsen of Norway is the United Nations Special Coordinator/ Middle East Peace Process. He and his wife Mona Juul, presently Ambassadress of Norway to Israel, initiated the 1993 secret talks in Norway which led to the Oslo Peace Process. Shimon Peres, formerly V.P.Socialist International, was the foremost advocate of the Oslo Process and awarded The Nobel Peace Prize; but now the Nobel Committee regrets the Award. Meanwhile it has surfaced in the Nordic Press that Larsen & Juul both received a 1999 cash prize of $100,000 for their advocacy of a Mideast peace process, this being in violation of! Norway's civil service code. Larsen is beyond recall, but Ambassadress Mona Juul is not according to Norway's Foreign Ministry spokesman Karsten Klepsuik. Some questions would arise on the verasity of the Oslo Peace Process while the UNRWA refugee camps were knowingly under constant anti-Israel propaganda "educational" influences after the return of Yasser Arafat in 1993 to the West Bank/Gaza with the approval of the Clinton/Gore Administration. The seeds of future and present-day conflict were being sown almost ten years ago. Presient Jimmy Carter's "eyes were opened" when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in 1979, and Shimon Pere's when Arafat turned down the Barak-Clinton offer at Camp David II...Arafat and the Arab World want the 3.9 million listed refugees out of their lands and back into Israel more than Arafat wants a Palestinian State. Plus they want all Jews out of the West Bank/Gaza alike apartheid or a Nazi-like ghetto. Allright! Resentment, hostility, circumstances,history has led Palestinians to hatred, murder, and suicide which is a self-destructive and self-defeating mentality. But Europeans? Scandinavians? We have seen how the Austrians were initially viewed as victims of the Nazis even though Adolf Hitler himself was an Austrian who attained German citizenship one week before becoming Chancellor. Scandinavians too had/have enjoyed good public relations and a reputation as being anti-Nazi and Jewish saviors during the war. But a closer look into this garden of socialist democracy perhaps would reveal some weeds and hidden snakes who have grown fat, and perhaps dangerous, within our global village. We recall how France's Mitterand, another V.P. in the Socialist International, revealed in his closing years his secret Vichy collaborations with the German/Austrian nazis. Interesting, old truths buried deep somehow bubble up to the surface and walk this earth. Poor Hitler! Poor Satan! Though both guilty of hideous crimes we! use them as scapegoats for the crimes that we individually and collectively commit. We have met the enemy, and he is us!
