December 30, 2008
Understanding the importance of representing Israel's right to defend itself in the international public opinion, Likud chairman, Benjamin Netanyahu, launched a media campaign with leading news organizations in the world. Netanyahu already gave 13 interviews among them are Fox news, BBC and Sky News.
Netanyahu, who has also worked hard during the 2006 2nd Lebanon war to represent Israel's right of self defense, will take a central part in the effort to influence international public opinion.
Netanyahu's expresses Israel's right for self defense and points out the double standard that Israel is subjected to "no country in the world would have shown such restraint" (Netanyahu in the Knesset yesterday – see in other page). Netanyahu also said to the world that "If you side with Israel today, you will be sending a message to the world, to the terrorists of the world: 'You cannot do this. We will not tolerate it. We will not be duped.'"
Netanyahu has years long of experience in front of the international press. Aside from being Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs minister, Netanyahu's entry in the public scene was at the time he was Israel's envoy to U.N. in the 1980s.
