Honest Reporting from Israel? By Whom? When? (Ms. Wolfe's absolutely factual message concerning the BBC)

I, and I am sure everybody else who received Ms. Wolfe's absolutely factual message concerning the BBC, did not get this "notion." Actually, it was news to me and, I am sure, to everyone else. In fact, the comment was unnecessary and unimportant, even if it were true. I certainly do not consider it "hilarious" and can't understand why you do. Frankly, I really couldn't care less whether it is true or not, as the private lives journalists are not something over which I lose any sleep.
It is of no interest to me whether Ms. Guerin is married or not. Nor, if she is, to whom. In fact, if she IS married, or going steady with someone, whoever he may be, I wish her luck and happiness. All I ask is that she be true to the guidelines of her profession and behave with integrity in her reportage on the Israeli/Arab conflict. After all, is this not what one has been led to expect from the Media - that its raison d'etre is to bring the facts and only the facts (and not personal views, prejudices, or preferences) to the viewing public?
As far as I am concerned, what Ms. Guerin does and who she does it with in her private capacity has nothing to do with anyone except herself. Actually, at first, I scarcely noticed this comment as it had no bearing on the subject in hand.
This was not the main issue of Ms. Wolfe's letter, now was it? Certainly it seems that the main issue (that of the BBC's, and other media outlets, flagrant prejudice against Israel and their shameful support, idealization, encouragement and "understanding" for Arafatian terrorism against the Israeli people) has been lost in all the fuss being made over that unfortunate comment.
Perhaps now that this "hilarious" problem has been cleared up (hopefully to everyone's satisfaction...) someone could deal with the main problem - which is the hatred and hostility towards Israel (and Jews in general) emanating from the BBC (and other Media) resulting not only in slanted and often downright mendacious presentations of the 1,500 year-old conflict between the Jews and the Moslems in the Middle East, but even in downright primitive Blood Libels (e.g. the Mohammed al-Dura report)!
Yours sincerely, Mrs. Trudy Gefen
