How to deal with sniper threat.
Larry Tsimmerman. 4.3.2002
As former officer in reserve of Soviet Army I would like to share my
expertise with IDF in regard to sniper threat.
The key is to block sniper's view so he can not see you.
Smoke is one method or, canvas shroud could be deployed around
check point so no movement can be seen inside such shroud.
Check points shall be installed on embankments only and in open areas !
Do not install checkpoints at the toe of the hill !
If sniper fire is encountered do not try to shoot back until you
find cover blocking view on all sides or until smoke is in place, then
radio
for help.
Armored vehicles and helicopters would help a lot.
Unfortunately I do not have contact with IDF.
Please forward this information to IDF or to the Government of Israel.
It can save Jewish lives !
Sincerely, Larry Tsimmerman.
