| interview on Fox 5/5/02 Michael Fisher 5 May 2002 I heard you talking about terrorism, Arafat, and the PLO, and why no one should negotiate with terrorists on Fox news this morning (5/5/02) prior to Sharon's visit to Bush. You made your point very clearly that President Bush would be misguided to insist that Israel negotiate with these terrorists. But you need to carry the message one step further. The American people need to be reminded over and over what happens when you deal with terrorists as if they are legitimate negotiating partners. It is not enough to underline the necessity of moral clarity. That makes a good argument from an ethical point of view. The American people forget, especially since it is Israeli lives on the line, what the results are when you negotiate with terrorists like the PLO. This is not only a moral ethical issue.
