While they have their differences and there is bound to be friction, I have no doubt they are equally committed to the security of Israel. Nobody can make Israel's case before the American public better than Netanyahu and I hope he will stop in Europe before and after every American visit to present the Israeli case to the European public over the heads of their governments. Europeans know the reality of living with the Arabs in their midst. Europe is a giant "safe house" for the Islamic terrorists, which is why they have not struck on European soil yet. But that could change suddenly. Europeans still do not know what to do with Turkey, and like the Palestinians who never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity, they will probably alienate the Turks over the Common Market, which is a shame. May God watch over Israel and give her peace and may George Bush bring the US Embassy to Jerusalem where it belongs! |
