| none as yet Drew Doxsee 5 Nov 2002 dparadoxsees@worldnet.att.net Sir, I have just read, courtesy of the ATT Worldnet news site, a Reuters release entitled "US Missile Kills Al Qaeda Suspects in Yemen" (the article had not, at the time of this writing, found its way to the internet edition of the Post). To my profound shock, I was suddenly gripped by the realization that our American CIA is apparently not aware of the disdain with which present and past US administrations have viewed the targetted killings of terrorists, acts which have been so roundly and unequivocably condemned when undertaken by Israel as counter-productive to peace. Being on the whole a thoughtful fellow, and after some reflection, I have therefore concluded that the CIA must have acted in ignorance, or that the drone plane which fired the missile must somehow have malfunctioned, as I can't imagine that the current administration would open itself to charges of such unmistakenly gross double standards and hypocricy. I'll bet those CIA chaps are going to get an earful from George W. Aren't they? Drew Doxsee |
