The PR War

Mr. Netanyahu:
It appears that many people here and especially in Europe, for
variety
of reasons, concerns for the oil supplies one of them, disregard or
simply
refuse to remember, a clear lesson from History: Appeasement does not
work. A
timely reminder about the futility of trying to Appease Terror can
refresh
memory and change some minds.
63 years, one month and 7 days ago, Hitler's tanks entered Prague
and
Czechoslovakia, the model Democracy in central Europe, ceased to exist.
One
year before this tragic event, March 24, 1938 in his speech to Commons,
Winston Churchill had this to say about Hitler's plan for
Czechoslovakia:"
Czechoslovakia will be forced to make continuous surrenders, far beyond
the
bounds of what any impartial tribunal would consider just and
right,until
finally her sovereignity, her independence, her integrity, have been
destroyed."
Arafat and his Arab friends simply dusted off this Hitler's
plan
and will not stop until they reach their ultimate goal, the detructiona
of
the state of Israel.
The loss of Israel to Democracy today, would be by
far
more serious setback to the Free World in general and to our War on
Terror in
particular, than was the loss of Czechoslovakia on March 15, 1939. In
1948 ,
Israel became a Light House emiting the bright light of Democracy and
Freedom
to guide Palestinians, the other Arab people and the Israelis in the
sea of
Medieval Darkness and Death of Middle East. This Light House sits on a
cliff,
surrounded by the Dark sea and in constant danger of beign swept away
by the
next high tide.
Darkness can not be Appeased but it can be compromised
by
Light from the Light House. Darkness, when compromised, becomes Light.
Even
if we will stand alone, as England did during the dark days of 1939 and
1940,
we must support the Light of Israel.
Appeasement of Darkness can not be
a
part of this support.
Sincerely
yours,
George
