Mrs. Helen Shaskan
UN Public Inquiries
New York
shaskan@un.org
Dear Mrs. Shaskan;
I do like to thank you for your letter, which was received with amazement and perplexity
Mrs. Shaskan.
You do mention, that Mr. Annan cannot take any actions as he pleases:
But, at the same time he took certainly the action, as he was pleased, and expressed public outrage at the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament in New Delhi, in which some 13 people were killed ...
Where is his public outrage about terrorist attacks on Israel's innocent children and women, that occur daily, and not just some 13 ..????????
Mrs. Shaskan, you surely must admit, that if the UN can openly express outrage about 13 victims at terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament, surely the UN can likely express outrage at terrorists murdering Israelis by hundreds, and maiming even more, or is there a difference in the value of a Jewish Life - versa any other Life .?????????
You referred to an overwhelming majority of a Palestinian death toll in your letter, but totally ignored the death toll facts from Israelis. What is your reason, don't Jewish life's count ??????
To be precise, the word "Israel", did not even cross your lips, in this regard your finger tips on your PC.
My question:
Why is that, that anyone, including YOURSELF, from your organization cannot ever address Israel's heavy losses, through serial daily terror attacks, may we add.
The UN only uses the word Israel when they file condemnations and resolutions against Israel.
How come the word Palestinians is the usual syllabus used when losses are accounted for, BUT .... BUT NEVER in condemnations of their vicious terror attacks, NO, only addressing their losses. Very strange rhetoric.
Sorry Mam, to have to tell you, but your letter adds insult to injury committed already.
One need not be a military analyst to understand that there is no shortage of Palestinians/Arabs, who are more than willing to blow themselves up as long as they can take some Jews with them.
This is under normal humanitarian aspects considered terrorism, and I wonder if you and Mr. Annan and your other officers can possibly agree to that, if not Mam, what do you call it ?????.
Yet, to be political correct for your organization, you give importance to the terrorists losses and not the victims losses, and obviously worry about the loss of life of the aggressor, the terrorist, that you have the nerve to state, is in numbers above the victims. !!!??? (obviously your word it more political correct)
Well, .. WE certainly hope that terrorists, suicide bombers, that commit serial murder daily and intentionally, and not possible collateral, that those will hopefully outnumber in the death toll, compared to the innocent victims they kill hourly with their Jihad fanatic bloody attacks.
The losses occurred by these Palestinians are due to their own activities in terrorism, and normal human intelligence, would agree that to be their intentional risk they run, which would not happen, if they would not use their Martyr imagination in how and in which way they could become suicide bombers, Motar attackers etc, shelling, shooting, stabbing - artists, firing missiles, killing innocent citizens intentionally with careful planned attacks.
Therefore your statement of more losses of Palestinian life is absurd, unless you support terrorism Mrs. Shaskan.
Each lethal terror attack happening hourly on Israeli citizens, not even daily any more, NO hourly, destroys an innocent Jewish life with full intentions in the attackers mind, devastating untold numbers of friends and loved ones and leaving an indelible scar on the nation's psyche.
When has the UN mentioned or considered this in any public statement ??????
The Jewish people deserve better than this, or one has to again consider, that the UN Should Curb their obvious Anti-Semitism, which in turn indirect and directly enhances terrorists to commit crimes against the Jewish people world wide, since the UN ... finds nothing wrong with it., otherwise they would speak out on it.
Or is it, that your overwhelming members of Islamic religion force the issue, as it looks more and more. ?????????!!!!!!!!!!
The UN has not once openly condemned Arafat's actions, but lifts his image instead.
This mass terror fully endorsed and supported by Arafat and most Arabs (your own members), is ignored totally by the UN and definitely endorsed once more through your letter, in the rhetoric of your style.
Again I mention, the Indian terror attacks were "pronto" mentioned and condemned by Mr. Annan ... ????!!!!!!!
The only way to stop this mass terror fully endorsed and supported by Arafat and most Arabs, is to remove the root of this cancer, in a fashion as the Jordanians did, and as he was removed from Lebanon, since theses terrorists are fully under the command of Arafat's police, and Arafat himself.
I personally had submitted some of the videos, mentioned below, to the UN many months ago, and I know from my sources, that they had been passed on to the UN in NY.
But I assume you have not seen one... To assure you can see this reality of the PA and Arafat .. here is the link to find them.
"Israel and the War of Images" and "The Trojan Horse,"
I suggest no child shall watch these, since the terror acts performed by Palestinians and Arafat are not suitable for children, despite children performing in them.
This shows Arafat and his spokesmen, clerics and negotiators revealing that peace negotiations with Israel are part of a strategy leading ultimately and inevitably to the destruction of the Jewish State.
The video documentaries include clips from 1994 through 1999 of the top Palestinian spokesmen all candidly explaining this strategy to Arabic audiences.
All of the comments were made after the signing of the Oslo Accords in which Arafat pledged to renounce violence against Israel and to promote mutual respect between the negotiating parties.
Facts from the video:
"All these elements will push us continuously toward our goals," explains Nabil Sha'ath, Arafat's chief negotiator, in 1999. "We still haven't lost hope (of achieving the ultimate objectives.) Have our expectations decreased. No, they have increased.
" Arafat himself explains the ploy in a 1994 speech in South Africa. "I don't consider the agreement any more than the agreement which was signed by our prophet Mohammad and the Qurayish," he said.
Mohammad signed a peace agreement with the Qurayish Jews who lived in Mecca, until his Islamic warriors were strong enough to conquer them.
Over and over again, Palestinian leaders explain that their ultimate goals remain a Palestine from "the sea to the river" – meaning from the Jordan to the Mediterranean.
The documentaries show Arafat calling for jihad and total victory over Israel, his spokesmen denying the reality of the Jewish Holocaust, the training of Arab children as young as 4 years old in commando-style warfare and the indoctrination of the young in martyrdom.
Palestinian children are shown getting summer camp demonstrations in assassination techniques and firearms training.
The children explain themselves what they are taught – that the Jews are the enemy and must be killed.
And the UN complains about the fact that the terrorist gang of Palestinians have lost more lifes than Israel ......
Partial photos can be seen as well on FOX13 Investigative, and Fox will investigate further, until the world will see Arafat as he lives and breathes, with shouting Jihad .. Jihad..
Date: 7 February 2002
Arafat: "We will make the lives of the infidels Hell - millions of martyrs
marching to Jerusalem"...
TV broadcast Yasser Arafat addressing a crowd in Ramallah.
Arafat gave a speech in Ramallah, to a delegation from Hebron in which he said, "Yes, brothers, with our souls and blood we redeem you, O Palestine. This is the decision of the people... They said: God is great! Glory to God and his prophet! Jihad, jihad, jihad, jihad, jihad!"
Mrs. Shaskan; And you state in your letter, their losses are higher, (one hopes so that they did not outdo more Jewish lifes);
Wouldn't you agree, That is hardly the rhetoric of a man interested in peace. Hardly a leader .... !!!!????????
Jewish Genocide is the Aim of Arafat
Arafat is aided (as Hitler was not) by a vast cadre of Imams preaching the same feverish battle cry every Friday in the mosques of the Middle East: “In blood and fire will we establish a state with Jerusalem as its capital”.
It is Jewish blood which is called for every Friday. In addition to fire intended to consume Jews, Arafat has also generously recommended that Jews are welcome to drink their fill of sea-water off Gaza’s coast.
And the UN complains about the fact that the terrorist gang of Palestinians have lost more lifes than Israel ......

Palestinian Authority Frees All Jailed Terrorists in West Bank and Gaza Detentions Centers Thursday Morning, Including Senior Jihad and Hamas Terror Operatives.
And the UN complains about the fact that the terrorist gang of Palestinians have lost more lifes than Israel ......
Mrs. Shaskan, shouldn't you rethink your statement in order to not stand in the room as a supporter to Mr. Arafat's vicious Jihad Islamic Martyrs. ?????
The Palestinians have to abandon violence and terrorism so that peaceful negotiations could resume.
If Palestinian violence and terrorism were to end, Israel would have no reason to take defensive countermeasures to outroute the nest of terrorism.
To that end, Yassir Arafat and the Palestinian Authority have:
- used official Palestinian media to incite the Palestinians, especially Palestinian children, to continued violence against Israel and Israelis;
- authorized the Tanzim militia (an organ of Yassir Arafat's Fatah PLO faction) to fire upon Israeli civilians and soldiers, with weapons supplied by the Palestinian Authority;
- refused to arrest those directly responsible for terrorist attacks;
- released dozens of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists who were already in Palestinian prisons, signaling to these organizations that they have a green light to launch attacks against innocent Israeli citizens;
- done nothing to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure which permeates the areas under Palestinian Authority control;
- refused to act in accordance with their obligations under the existing agreements to collect illegal weapons.
Instead, the Palestinian Authority has attempted to smuggle in and to produce locally vast amounts of illegal arms and ammunition, including heavy weapons such as mortars and Katyushas rockets, and missiles;
- taken advantage of every Israeli attempt to ease restrictions on Palestinian daily life by launching renewed attacks on Israeli civilians.
As long as the lives of innocent civilians are being threatened on a daily basis, Israel has no choice but to react in self-defense.
And the UN complains about the fact that the terrorist gang of Palestinians have lost more lifes than Israel ......
The inaction of the Palestinian Authority in the face of widespread terrorism in its areas, coupled with the PA's public support for this violence, have left Israel no alternative but to take the necessary action itself to prevent continued terrorism.
Therefore, Israel must undertake preventive, precisely targeted operations which are designed to bring about a cessation of these clear lethal threats.
These preventive targeted operations are fully suitable under international law and under the UN charter article 51.
Under customary international law and Article 51 of the U.N. Charter, taking the life of a terrorist to preempt an imminent or continuing threat of attack is analogous to self-defense against conventional attack.
The general impression given in the media is that Palestinians have lived in the Holy Land for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
The majority believe (falsely) that prior to the establishment of the State of Israel an independent Arab Palestinian State existed in its place.
While the modern media, the UN and EU, may be short on information about the history of the Palestinian people, the historical record is not.
Books, such as Battleground by Samuel Katz and From Time Immemorial by Joan Peters long ago detailed the history of the region.
Far from being settled by Palestinians for hundreds, if not thousands of years, the Land of Israel, according to dozens of visitors to the land, was, until the beginning of the last century, practically empty.
Now, where did actually all those ARABS, that's what they really are, come from.??????
Unlikely, to say the least. If the massive increase was not due to natural births, then were did all these Arabs come from?
All the evidence points to the neighboring Arab states of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
In 1922 the British Governor of the Sinai noted that illegal immigration was not only going on from the Sinai, but also from Trans-Jordan and Syria.
For example, the governor of the Syrian district of Hauran, Tewfik Bey el Hurani, admitted in 1934 that in a single period of only a few months over 30,000 Syrians from Hauran had moved to the Land of Israel.
Not only pre-state Arabs lied about being indigenous. Even today, many prominent so-called Palestinians, it turns out, are foreign born.
Edward Said, an Ivy League Professor of Literature and a major Palestinian propagandist, long claimed to have been raised in Jerusalem.
However, in an article in the September 1999 issue of Commentary Magazine Justus Reid Weiner revealed that Said actually grew up in Cairo, Egypt, a fact which Said himself was later forced to admit.
But why bother with Said? PLO chief Yasser Arafat himself, self declared leader of the Palestinian people, has always claimed to have been born and raised in Palestine.
In fact, according to his official biographer Richard Hart, as well as the BBC, Arafat was born in Cairo on August 24, 1929, and that's where he grew up.
To maintain the charade of being an indigenous population, Arab propagandists have had to do more than a little rewriting of history.
A major part of this rewriting involves the renaming of geography.
For two thousand years the central mountainous region of Israel was known as Judea and Samaria, as any medireview map of the area testifies.
The term "Palestinian" is itself a masterful twisting of history.
To portray themselves as indigenous, Arab settlers adopted the name of an ancient Canaanite tribe, the Phillistines, that died out almost 3000 years ago.
The connection between this tribe and modern day Arabs is nil.
The myth of the Palestinian People serves as the justification for Arab occupation of the Land of Israel.
While the Arabs already possess 21 sovereign countries of their own (more than any other single people on earth) and control a land mass 800 times the size of the Land of Israel, this is apparently not enough for them.
They therefore feel the need to rob the Jews of their one and only country, one of the smallest on the planet.
Unfortunately, many people ignorant of the history of the region, including much of the world media, most of the EU politicians, and UN, take the liberty to judge, despite their lack of experience and knowledge of facts, and are only too willing to help.
I do thank you for your attention
Sincerely,
Mrs. G. Goldwater, Switzerland, Geneva, iii44@aol.com

Dear Mr. or Ms. Goldwater,
Thanks for taking the time to write concerning the UN and the situation in
the Middle East. Your views have been read and noted. We have received
countless messages, from all sides and various countries, expressing
similar sentiments, some blaming the UN for the failure to achieve peace in
the region.
The Secretary-General believes that the only way to bre3ak the current
cycle of violence and stabilize the situation is through "a full and
immediate" implementation of the Mitchell Committee recommendations, the
Tenet understandings and the demands made by the "Quartet" -- the United
States, the Russian Federation and the European Union in their joint
statement of 25 October 2001. As Mr. Annan noted in a recent statement,
the situation in the region over the past 16 months has deteriorated to
unprecedented levels with a death toll now exceeding 1,100 -- the
overwhelming majority Palestinians.
I am sure you will understand that the UN is not a supra-government and
that the Secretary-General cannot take any action that he pleases. All
decisions are made by the members of the Council, and the Member States of
the UN must also recommend any action that may follow.
Thanks for your interest in the UN.
Regards,
