RIDICULOUS: Mubarek "understands" bus bombing (on CNN/Zahn)
Darryl Sperber (sperber@airmail.net) 07 Jun 2002
More nonsense from this morning's Paula Zahn - Hosni Mubarak interview
on
CNN... http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0206/07/ltm.03.html
As usual, Paula Zahn lets her interview subject roll over her.
Apparently the
stupid Palestinian mantra response (even from the head of Egypt) of:
(1) "we are against killing innocent civilians" (there America
and its government... does that make you happy?), but
(2) we are humiliated, have no jobs, and are desperate,
and therefore can throw 100kg of dynamite at a
civilian bus or shopping mall. We can therefore kill
anybody we want (and Israel can't respond) using
terrorist tactics of bombing babies and civilians,
as the frustration of these murderers is "understood".
And Israel should just take their lumps and let its civilians
die without fighting back.
(3) when we have two states living side by side, then there
will be no more murders against civilians, and until that
happens (supposedly the OUTCOME of negotiations,
not a pre-condition to their starting) I guess we will just
have to understand and live with bombings of babies...
since the Palestinians can't get a good meal or air
conditioning.
is seen by Zahn as a consistent response from Hosni Mubarak. Murder is
apparently "ok", since he "understands why they are doing it". And
it's "ok"
to continue! Typical Arab nonsense, and she accepts it and moves on!
Perhaps we should say to them "I don't like not having a 5-star hotel
in Cairo
that serves good food, so I'm going to set bombs in every hotel in
Cairo in
order to kill thousands until you build a decent restaurant for me" and
that
this is similarly justified, as it is easy to "understand why I am
frustrated
and desperate for a good steak, so I can kill babies if I can't find
one".
Or better yet, how about "if I bomb you and your family after this
interview
because I'm frustrated with the way it's going", will you "understand"
that
murder and accept it as legitimate?
Apparently, his idea that unilaterally everybody should declare (in
advance!)
that a Palestinian state will suddenly be declared to exist as a
pre-condition
for "peace" negotiations, when it is these very negotiations which is
supposed
to discuss the possible existence and boundaries of a Palestinian state
(among
other issues, such as no more bombings, water, etc.) is not seen as
totally
illogical by that nitwit Paula Zahn so that she calls him on it.
These Arabs are simply impossible.
MURDER OF BABIES IS UNJUSTIFIED UNDER ANY VIEW AND SHOULD
STOP IMMEDIATELY, AND CANNOT BE EXPLAINED AWAY, and then Israel will
surely sit down to talk.
In that order, bombings stop first... and then maybe peace will then
happen.
Otherwise, I say vaporize them all. These Arabs have declared war on
Israel
and its civilians and Israel should fight back... for real, this time.
No
more shooting bullets and empty buildings. Let's eliminate the
murderers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ZAHN: Let's continue to talk about the Middle East. You have publicly
declared
that a Palestinian state basically be called for in advance of its
borders
being determined. If that happens, can you guarantee there will be no
more
suicide bombings?
MUBARAK: Look, nobody can guarantee there will be no suicide bombings
until
there is two states living beside each other. According to the
statement given
by the president, having two states is the best guarantee to stop
suicide
bombing. But in the present situation, you cannot guarantee. Neither
the
Palestinian nor the Israelis would be able to put an end to that,
unless they
(UNINTELLIGIBLE) give hope to the people. This will help at least
advising the
people not to create much more violence in there.
ZAHN: Is there ever any justification for an 18-year-old a 19-
year-old, a
30-year-old strapping explosives to themselves and blowing themselves
up to
kill innocent civilians in the process?
MUBARAK: Look, we are against killing innocent civilians. By all means.
we are
against that, if it's on the Israeli side or on the Palestinian side.
But
look, why are they doing this? We should see the course. The course is
that
the people are desperate from the present situation. They cannot find.
They
cannot work. They cannot live. They cannot find medicine. They cannot
send
their school to children, so the people, they are desperate,
(UNINTELLIGIBLE),
which is being graduate from the American university at 25 years old. I
don't
remember its name. Suicide bomb -- 25 years of what (ph)?
ZAHN: So on one hand, you're condemning suicide bombings, but you're
saying
you understand why you think they happen?
MUBARAK: I tell you, we have to cure the cause, which needs the people
to make
suicide bombs. We have to find the cause, and deal with the cause so as
to
avoid and put an end to the suicide bombing.
