| This is Arafats war Joel Plofsky 17 Apr 2002 They would like you to believe that the suicide attacks are the last act of desperate individuals. This could not be farther from the truth. This war has nothing to do with land or occupation. Israelis know that Palestinians are suffering and feel that the occupation must end. Yasser Arafat was offered a deal that would have ended the occupation and created a Palestinian state on 98% of the land. He walked away from the offer without even making a counter-offer, and then began sending suicide bombers into Israel. This war is about hatred and religion. If the suicide attacks were the last act of desperate of individuals they, would occur randomly. Have you ever noticed that these attacks always occur on Jewish holidays and at Jewish occasions? This war is a very well orchestrated attempt by Yasser Arafat to destroy the State of Israel, beginning with those things that are most sacred. Yasser Arafat is waging one of the most immoral wars in the history of man. He has taken everything innocent about the Palestinian people and turned it into a weapon. He has sent suicide bombers in ambulances, sent pregnant women and even children to their violent deaths. The targets of these vicious attacks are the most defenseless individuals, such as a twelve year-old girl at her Bat-Mitzvah, and group of elderly Jews sitting down to a Passover meal. Yasser Arafat appears on Palestinian TV calling for children to give up their toys because it’s time for war against the Jews. In another TV spot a child says “please don’t cry for me mommy, I’m going to martyr myself against the evil Jews. The Palestinians may not realize it today, but history will show that Arafat has led them to nothing but despair. · He turned down a deal that would have created a Palestinian state by now on 97% of the land. They would already have a county and a peaceful life, free from occupation. · He has collected hundreds of millions of dollars from other countries in support of the Palestinian cause. Instead of trying to improve the lives of the Palestinian people, he has spent it all on the weapons of terror. · The leaders of his terror network operate in communities where innocent Palestinians live. Bomb making factories and terrorist training centers were found in the same buildings where innocent families live. · He has sent Palestinian children to violent deaths. If you have seen interviews with the families of suicide bombers, it is evident that they did not want their child to be used as martyrs. The Israeli army is made up of young courageous men who wish to bring peace to Israel. They have a responsibility to the limit the movements of Arafat’s terrorists, track them down, and bring them to justice. It is very unfortunate that any actions taken to limit the movements of terrorists, track them down, and bring them to justice have had a negative, and sometimes harmful, affect upon innocent Palestinians. Yasser Arafat is calling all the shots in this war, and innocent people on both sides are paying the price. |
