The world seems to have adopted the position that the problems of the Middle East will not be solved under a new Palestinian state is created. Advocates for such a position give little thought to what sort of nation they are helping to create. They blithely think that, simply by allowing the establishment of yet another Arab country, everyone in the region will settle down to live in peace and harmony. Nonsense! The world has taken up the cause of 'the Palestinian people' without consideration of what they are promoting. They would like to see a state established behind some fictitious borders that will never, in the long run, be accepted by the inhabitants of such a state. For these people visualise their nation spreading 'from the river to the sea'. That is, from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea. Liberal minded advocates of a Palestinian state pooh-pooh the notion that the Palestinians will continue their aggressive ambitions once they are granted statehood. That they will settle down to develop a cozy modern country. Rubbish! Pro-Palestinian advocates promote these people as peace loving, down-trodden, abused people, who want nothing more than to develop a modern, democratic state, and care for their families. Let us examine, more closely, the sort of monster that is likely to emerge from such statehood. This is a nation that preaches mass hysteria, incitement, and hatred, coupled with regimented religious and military training of the young, that enables them to send out armies of suicide bombers to blow up innocent women and children. This stigma, this fanaticism, will not fade away with statehood. it will only present them with a sovereign launching pad to express their ingrained hatred and rage. But hatred, murder, and death is not only directly at their external enemy. According to the Palestinian Monitor, a Palestinian based human rights research group, 122 Palestinians were shot by fellow Palestinians, and this is only up to October 2001. Violence is not limited to the streets controlled by armed gangs. The same research group recorded that 28 Palestinians died while in the custody of the Palestinian Authority up to 18th October 2001. Perhaps even more disturbing is the rapidly spreading phenomena of honor killings in the Palestinian community. That is, the murder of females by members of the family. The root cause of this primitive ritual is the growth of radical and strict Islamic law in Palestinian life. When Israel governed Bethlehem, the Christian population of the town was 70%. Under Arafat's regime, the Christian population have been terrorised to the extent that they have silently packed their bags and departed, reducing their numbers to a mere 20% and falling. Soon, the only Christian presence in the town will be the stone walls of the churches protected by a small band of monks and nuns. It will be a Moslem town housing a place of interest for Christian tourists. Palestinian lack of respect for the Jewish holy places is much more destructive. Joseph's Tomb was destroyed by Palestinian forces. it has now been rebuilt as a mosque. Arafat, at Camp David, refused to accept that Jews had any right in religion or history to any part of Jerusalem. Not even the sacred walls of Judaism's holy Temple was acceptable to an Arafat that sees himself as the Saladin of the Muslim world. Once you understand this, you understand the Palestinian cry 'from the river to the sea'. It is all part of their jihad to reclaim 'all Palestinian holy land'. In this context, even Netanya, Haifa, Afula, Rishon le Zion, and Petach Tikva, take on religious significance that allows people to 'martyr' themselves in the name of the cause. The spread of incitement and hatred against the Jews reaches out from the Palestinian mosques, schools, newspapers, and television into the wider Islamic world and on to the streets of France, Belgium, and England, where synagogues are put to the torch, Jewish graves are desecrated, and Jews attacked. It will continue to spread, encouraged by the establishment of yet another Islamic state in the Middle East. It will continue to spread even if the Jewish state of Israel is destroyed by the continuing envelopment of the Western world under the dark cloak of Islam.
